I believe that my 23 years of experience as paraprofessional, UFT Chapter Para Rep for 3 terms, as well as a fierce advocate for fair treatment and working conditions for my colleagues, has prepared me for this position.  I currently work at D75, PS811 main site in the Bronx. I work closely with the school Chapter leader in resolving many issues that our paras face on a daily basis, including bussing issues, payroll issues, release time as well as overall safety and working conditions. My experience and passion would make me a great asset to our para chapter. I am committed to fighting for fair treatment and working conditions, better wages, opportunities to move along the continuum from para to teacher and better pension plans for all union employees but especially for our paraprofessionals who serve as the backbone of our schools.
