I’ve been a paraprofessional for more than 15 years.  My parents were both teachers, and my five siblings are all educators. I raised four children as a single parent in the public school system on Staten Island. I love working as a paraprofessional because I feel that my students benefit from my assistance, both academically and emotionally.  I’m running because paraprofessionals are undervalued and underpaid and I hope to work to change that!
